thats a good way to look at it as well. I have had those days too. being in line waiting is fun though. You hear all the BS stories, and some real ones, people exagerate their takes, or show you stuff they bought that they say they found.
One year a guy was in line next to me... telling of places in Eastern Oregon he was aiming to get gold in, asking, prodding, suggesting.. ect. I asked him if he has yet to find any gold over there. He said no but he was planning on it since he already lived in Baker City.
1 hour later I saw him with a nugget in his hand not a big nugget, but still a nugget. I'm guessing between 1.5-3 grams. I began to wonder so I walked up nearby and he was telling a guy how he found it on the Snake River and he lives in Huntington. Quite a change of story there. But oh well, its all part of the mining things. Not knowing the BSers from the real ones makes for interesting stories and helps to keep our truthful encounters unbelievable so that they don't get a rush to them.
