thats a good way to look at it as well. I have had those days too. being in line waiting is fun though. You hear all the BS stories, and some real ones, people exagerate their takes, or show you stuff they bought that they say they found.

One year a guy was in line next to me... telling of places in Eastern Oregon he was aiming to get gold in, asking, prodding, suggesting.. ect. I asked him if he has yet to find any gold over there. He said no but he was planning on it since he already lived in Baker City.

1 hour later I saw him with a nugget in his hand not a big nugget, but still a nugget. I'm guessing between 1.5-3 grams. I began to wonder so I walked up nearby and he was telling a guy how he found it on the Snake River and he lives in Huntington. Quite a change of story there. But oh well, its all part of the mining things. Not knowing the BSers from the real ones makes for interesting stories and helps to keep our truthful encounters unbelievable so that they don't get a rush to them.

Hi Daniel.
I'll be at both the Puyallup and Salem Gold Shows. I'll be working with the North Bend Prospectors and also in the GPAA booth. I really look forward to these shows so I can re-new old friendships. If you're only going to spend a little bit on raffles, I hope you will watch for the ones that go directly to PLP, EOMA, New49ers to help pay their lawyer fees. It is very important that we do what we can to support them and help pay the bills. They are fighting for our rights to mine.

Son and I just got back from Salem show.
They said Tom Massie was there on Sat. but didn't see him today (Sunday).
As I didn't win one, bought a 48" sluice box and am looking forward to trying it.
Also a classifier and a ghost town map.
Saw the Blue Bowl in use and they looked good but have to wait.
Not a huge crowd but my son lost me (looking for the old guy with white beard and GPAA hat). LOL
Nice folks there.
