Cool picutures. Is this your mine? Are the pictures of the tunnel taken before and after some improvements, or is it just different areas of the mine? With the nice new buildings, this must be a patented claim? It just seams like it would be hard to get the ok to do that on an unpatented claim.
I don't mean to be nosey, I'm just always interested in load mining operations, and how people are running them. I would love to check it out some time, I've always wanted to have a tour of someones active load mining operation.

Thanks again for posting,

That is patented and is up there about 6500-7000 ft. elevation. hope the moviemakers don't make us look bad.If you've got a 4x4 there is a road you can take up and look across at the mine. Also many old mines on the way up and the road will take you up to within 100 yards of the crest trail that goes across the top of the Elkhorns.A wonderful area to explore and do endless research. BTW , the FS had that road on it's closure list until they temporarily pulled the plan back due to public outrage , mostly by locals who use and love their land. However the road to the mine is patented.

I think this claim was for sale on the Boulder Patch Mines website. Well, I hope it goes to good use and dos'nt just become a tv studio. Very glad to hear that the locals prevailed against the FS. Looks like a couple of carpenters have already found gainful employment at the mine, guess mining does have a positive economic impact.

We ATV'd up above to the Telephone Monument, looked across and saw the new construction. We always tried to make both climbs in the past couple years. Early in May you still could not get to Telephone, but now just a smigin of snow in the shady crooks. the last time we went up to Buckeye, there was a large pad still htere, and the adit was open. This last trip we saw all the new construction and decided to go up there. Hope they have a good truck when the snows fly. The route out of Bourne is really steep. Even on an ATV, it is a good grind. The pic attached was in '09 coming down from the Buckeye. The building is the old horse/mule barn. The other is the pad at the mine before the construction.
