I have heard of a lady dredging here place south of Forest Grove and getting 1mm to 2mm flakes. This possibly could be Gales Creek. It's always fun to look.

Wilson toward Tillamook was closest I got actual color, be it not much at all. It took 12 hours for what I could get in just sample pans else where. It was just enough to say "I wasn't skunked"

i know of places where you can get a speck a pan in NW oregon but nothing more. Its there but to find the right creeks you have to learn how to have fun in the search because it could be a long time tell you find one. It took me a couple years to find my spot

i live outside the town of gales creek and im thinking that most of the creek is privet access but maybe try gales creek campground? or knock on doors of people who have property next to gales creek river.
