Re: Dole Road with my new 14" Trommle

I think you'll find that the sluice will load up more on one side. looks real nice though. Have you run it at all? The only other concern I would have is the speed of the barrel. Without a reduction gear it may spin pretty fast, but it all depends on the idle speed of that engine and such. Let us kn...

Re: gold pics

I wish I could find that much at quartzville. I always find something, but it's always looking more like the vial without much in it. good job out there.

Re: New Dredge

Took it down to the river and tried to fire it up. Forgot a little detail about gas.... so.... that didn't work out, but it floats really well and stays stable even in semi rough water, so that's a good thing. Going out Saturday to try and find a few flakes in the molalla river, just for kicks, sinc...

Re: Quartz Vein What u think?

Do it.

The way I see it, if you clean it up and chip off a few pieces, and you don't find anything, well you just wasted some time doing something you enjoy and it wasn't a waste at all. If you find something, even better! If you never do it, you'll always wonder and wish you had. Good luck!

Re: New Dredge

Mossy, It's just a piece of plexi-glass. My dad put it there thinking that the water level would be high enough to see stuff moving around in there but it really serves no purpose. PNW, my ex ended up with the computer and the video camera in the split, so... At least I still have my prospecting gea...

Re: Playing at Lawson's Bar

Hey bill, glad to see you're still out there. My friend and I tried to go down to Lawson like last year, this spring, but the water was way too high, and I haven't been out since. Sure do miss finding that gold.

John, you been finding anything good lately? PM me.
